Many Competition BBQ Teams got their start in a contest just like this one! Whether you call it a Backyard Contest or Amateur Contest, the idea is the same: We give you the meat, you bring the heat.
We provide you with a 20′ x 20′ spot with power and access to water. You bring your tents, BBQs, tables and all you need. We give you the food and 6-7 hours to prepare 6 portions of each meat, cooked over Charcoal, Wood Pellet or Wood Chunk. No gas grills here!
The meats will be Chicken & Ribs. Portions will likely be 2 whole chickens and 2 racks of ribs. Ribs may be sides, or maybe baby backs. When we get closer to the event, this will be determined.

Overall Grand Champion wins $500, a Trophy, and admission to the 514 BBQ Backyard Competition in Montreal, Quebec, 3 weeks later! We pay and trophy to fifth place in each category and 5th Place Overall
